Advanced AI Lecture with Chris
Join me for a practical lecture on the techniques and skills that help you get better results from AI—moving beyond simple questions and chatbot conversations to using AI to create, solve problems, and get things done. My goal is to help friends, family, and colleagues get ahead of the curve—and put AI to work in ways that benefit their work and everyday lives.
What we’ll explore
- Beyond questions and chatbots — Work with AI on projects, creating things you can use, revise, and build on.
- Enough understanding to use AI well — Make sense of models, context, memory, and tools.
- Prompt engineering — Communicate your goals and provide useful context.
- Managing the conversation — Know when to keep going, summarize, or start fresh—including using one session to plan and another to execute.
- Delegating to AI agents — Give AI meaningful work while staying involved in the decisions that matter.
Who is this Chris person?
I’m Chris Swinefurth. With nearly 50 years of computer experience, I’ve built software, connected systems, and helped people turn complicated problems into useful tools. I’ve owned and operated technology companies, worked with organizations of all sizes, and earned a computer science degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. I bring years of hands-on AI experience, from running local models to applying frontier models to practical problems.
AI is moving quickly. I want the people in my life to feel informed, capable, and ready to take advantage of what these tools can offer. This lecture is a chance to share what I’ve learned and help friends, family, and colleagues build practical skills and confidence they can bring to their work and everyday lives.
